The pictures and description sound so good and the prices seem like a giveaway. Is it possible that you have found what every traveler from around the world has been seeking? Have you stumbled upon the ultimate in hotel accommodations for the least amount of Euros? That would be grand. But until you read the hotel reviews online, you may have just found the biggest con in the hotel accommodations business.
Some hotel descriptions were written when these hotels were brand new. In some cases this could be ten or twenty years ago. Some descriptions could be a half century old, yet still sound recently written and modern. Those quiet carpeted freshly decorated rooms could end up being dingy, noisy, rodent infested hell holes that some people wouldn’t stay at if it were free.
Many of the inner city hotels of a few stories and 30 to 50 rooms, built in the 1960′s and 1070′s have deteriorated. Some people who are looking to come to town and drink up their vacation and just want a place to flop between parties may feel these el cheapo accommodations are acceptable, and for their lifestyle they might be, but for you they are a nightmare.
